Breast cysts are a very common finding: depending on their size and the size of the breast they may be multiple and quite often palpable. Simple benign cysts do not lead to malignancy and most of the times they do not require any further intervention.

Breast CystsThe most common complication is inflammation which should be treated with discharge puncture and antibiotic treatment. Often they appear bilaterally, have smooth contours and are perfectly mobile. The test of choice for monitoring them is the ultrasound.
